Denis Bosnic is an independent documentary photographer based and working out of Australia. He is a contributor with The Wall Street Journal, La Repubblica, Internazionale, and Deutsche Welle where his work revolves around forcibly displaced persons, humanitarian issues, and long term projects documenting vulnerable groups of people in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Being forced to flee his hometown of Sarajevo during the 90’s Balkan Wars, Denis has had a first-hand insight into the experience of people he now covers.
Denis has also completed multiple commissions for humanitarian organizations including Médecins Sans Frontières, Jesuit Refugee Service, ICMC, and Consiglio Italiano per i Rifugiati.
During his 4 years of collaboration with the Slovak National Television he was charged with production and organization of varied non-domestic shoots for the channel’s documentary department.
Denis speaks English, Italian, German, Slovak (/Czech), and Bosnian (/Croat /Serbian).
