A Boy With Mangos - Bachirou's Story

Since 2012, Central African Republic has been in a state of civil war. 1.5 million of its citizens are at risk of starvation. UN has established that militias in CAR have committed crimes against humanity and executed ethnic cleansing campaigns. At the height of the conflict in 2014, more than a million people fled the violence. Many sought refuge in Cameroon. Due to mass displacement, education of Fulani, Bachirou's tribe, depends wholly on NGOs working in countries adjacent to CAR. At Cameroon's border with CAR, many schools are sponsored by JRS—Bachirou's included.
